Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, expert advice, mentoring, and workflow management, including task prioritization and resource coordination, to achieve project objectives.
  • Lead multi-skilled engineering teams in delivering software engineering solutions that meet customer expectations.
  • Lead technical reviews, workshops, peer reviews, and project reviews as required for the program.
  • Prepare and lead monthly TFRs and support the WPPR.
  • Communicate, analyze, plan, and report to align team capability with customer expectations.
  • Identify, review risks, propose effective solutions, execute mitigation actions, and report on outcomes.
  • Define and tailor the software engineering environment, processes, practices, and tools applicable to the project.
  • Ensure timely delivery of software releases supporting integration and test programs.
  • Provide support for bids, including producing/reviewing Engineering Cost estimates for modification proposals.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or other relevant qualification.
  • Solid experience managing the development of real-time distributed complex software in a safety-critical environment.
  • Solid experience across the total life cycle of complex software development.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle (e.g., EIA632, ISO/IEC15288).
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring multi-skilled engineering teams.
  • Experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies and driving iterative processes.
  • Strong experience with Earned Value Management, Work Package Control, and reporting.
  • Financial/budgetary management experience for engineering work packages or tasks.
