Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver submarine cable projects across the globe.
- Represent and lead for Amazon in deployment and operational meetings.
- Coordinate complex projects spanning several geographies and deliver the project to high standards.
- Define the contractual framework for all required elements adding capacity that supports the AWS Backbone Network.
- Work with Regional Business Development teams to deliver submarine capacity to a global standard.
- Drive projects to meet goals and timelines, ensuring delivery meets high standards and specifications.
- Invent to solve for roadblocks and alert customers along the way.
- Communicate crisply and timely, always advising a path forward.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent, or experience from a technical internship.
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Direct knowledge and experience in the subsea telecoms cable industry.
- Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
- Marine survey, cable route engineering and cable installation experience (preferred).
