Key Responsibilities

  • Perform visual inspections on material including cosmetic, safety component, and dimensional inspection
  • Operate CMM and vision measurement equipment for material or production jig and fixture measurement
  • Interpret specifications from drawings and set up measurement plans using GD&T
  • Execute measurements and provide detailed reports on results
  • Inspect for RoHS compliance using XRF and make decisions based on data
  • Document, track, and maintain inspection records including reporting abnormalities
  • Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids in part measurement
  • Improve effectiveness and efficiency of measurement methods and quality inspection processes
  • Support operation of measurement lab including calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment and tools
  • Perform equipment preventive maintenance, calibration, or verification for in-house equipment such as HPLC and vacuum pump
  • Support operation in Singapore Hardware Test Lab (HTL) as required
  • Ensure processes comply with manufacturing practices, HSE standards, and Agilent Quality Management System

Requirements

  • Minimum higher education (O Levels or SPM)
  • Specialized training/certification or Higher Nitec / Nitec or Diploma equivalent education preferred
  • 2+ years' experience in quality control/inspection
  • Proficient with use of measurement equipment including creating programs for equipment such as CMM, VisionScope
  • Ability to train or assist other inspectors as required
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings for dimensional requirements
  • Experience in cosmetic inspection for precision machinery, sheet metal, and plastic parts
  • Understanding and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards
  • Clear written and verbal communication especially for inspection reporting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • Strive for continuous improvement in quality and optimization of workflow
  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize assignments efficiently and multitask in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment
