Key Responsibilities

  • New Product Introduction (NPI) of battery cells for Power Tools (PT), Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE), Battery Backup Unit (BBU)
  • Line Expansion of Existing power cell models
  • 4M change of battery cell materials or parts for the purpose of Value-Add Cost Down (VACD) or Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
  • Design Review & Standardization for quality improvement including yield & productivity
  • Collaborate and support QA or Sales for customer requests
  • Support quality trouble investigations including cell performance risks assessment
  • Lead project group and formulate action plans. Review and report progress of project
  • Perform cell analysis for cell design verification & evaluation or defect root cause investigation. Analyse engineering tests results
  • Perform tasks or projects assigned by superior (including secondary appointment)
  • Guide and train new assistant engineers or technicians

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Engineering / Physics / Chemistry
  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing sector is preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, project management skills, troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office. Familiar with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, JMP, SPC, DOE, Statistics, are added advantages
  • Working Environment: clean room, dry room (0% humidity) (Line Trial or Sample Making)
