Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with external vendors, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to deliver active alignment solutions from engineering through mass production phases.
- Develop new equipment, processes, and methods for process validation and monitoring to transition concepts from the lab to mass production.
- Oversee the development of active alignment solutions, which typically include new equipment, process recipes, validation methods, and deployment at the contract manufacturer site.
- Translate optical design documents into alignment and process requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor/Master/PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Materials Science or equivalent.
- Expertise in either optics attach (active alignment) processes or optical functionality testing of devices (e.g., camera, projector).
- 3+ years of experience tooling up existing process machines for new optical devices.
- 3+ years of experience improving process efficiency and yield, including Design of Experiments (DOE) or machine bottleneck analysis.
- Clear and effective communication skills (written, in-person, and virtual).
