Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the key business partner working directly AWS senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide support and financial recommendations.
- Drive utilities operations cost management and financial performance optimization for AWS Data Center Operations across APJC
- Drive cost savings by identifying opportunities and benchmarking across vendors and locales.
- Work across teams on cost savings projects, automation and improvement initiatives with finance, construction, IT and design.
- Conduct regular face to face and virtual meetings in the Asia-Pacific region to support business partners and drive further efficiencies.
- Manage the financial planning and analysis effort and forecast various metrics for financial risks and opportunities.
- Report on the financial performance and lead in the preparation of weekly, monthly and annual financial reviews.
- Develop ad hoc business analysis and present recommendations to AWS senior management.
- Monitoring compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes and controls to support the fast-growing, global AWS business.
Requirements
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or MBA and 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience
- Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business settings
- MBA, or CPA (preferred)
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards) (preferred)
- Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes (preferred)
- Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization (preferred)
