Key Responsibilities
- Define and propose innovative technical solutions that meet customer requirements and align with the business' product/system technical strategy.
- Analyze architectural and technical choices to ensure optimal trade-offs between customer requirements, technical solutions, cost, and risk.
- Explore the solution space to define candidate architectural concepts, perform trade-offs, and document all design alternatives.
- Perform early validation of the architecture through modeling and proof-of-concept activities to de-risk the design.
- Develop Architectural Viewpoints, leading interface definitions and arbitrating technically between contributors to describe system behavior through functional flows.
- Specify Technical Performance Measurements (TPMs) and support their validation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Document architecture using required artifacts, such as Product Breakdown Structure and System of System Design Documentation.
- Stabilize and maintain the solution architecture throughout its lifecycle in cooperation with the Project Design Authority (PDA) and Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM).
- Review key Subsystems including Infrastructure, Platform, and Security artifacts to ensure design constraints are met.
- Ensure the defined architecture meets requirements concerning Performance, Safety, Security, Human Factors, and applicable legislation.
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in similar positions on projects delivering complex software-centric real-time systems.
- Strong experience in the ATM (Air Traffic Management) Domain and knowledge of standards such as ICAO and Eurocontrol.
- Demonstrated experience in designing infrastructure and network architectures.
- Demonstrated experience in designing secure solution architectures compliant with security standards and policies.
- Experience with collective decision-making and conflict resolution.
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholders with different objectives.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and with international customers.
- Aptitude for working in a multi-disciplinary, integrated team environment.
