Key Responsibilities

  • Supervises an engineering group with specific responsibility for mechanical systems and equipment design function, staffing, technical mentoring as required within the engineering group, staff professional and personal development, and budget adherence.   • Generate and define product specifications and coordinate/execute the engineering development of difficult scope
  • Effectively assigns work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development in addition to maximum productivity for the area
  • Ensures that all phases of project, program, and/or process development are documented and that information required in other functional areas is reported, disseminated, or transferred, as appropriate. Ensures compliance with Company policies regarding safety, Engineering/Lab notebooks, patents, and confidentiality and safety

Requirements

  • PhD/ Master/ Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • More than 7 years of relevant experiences in semiconductor equipment design or troubleshooting experiences with at least 3 years of leadership experiences
  • Subject-matter expertise with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles
  • Proficient in simulation and analysis methods (FEA, thermal analysis and tolerance analysis)
  • Strong in the following fields: Thermal, Compressible flow, Engineering Design, Machining & manufacturing processes
  • Ability to craft clear engineering documentation
  • Ability to form effective cross-functional relationships and to communicate product design/mechanical requirements clearly to non-experts
