Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Talend
- Integrate data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud sources)
- Build and manage data workflows on Microsoft Azure: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure SQL / Synapse Analytics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability
- Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost
- Collaborate with data analysts, BI teams, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Implement data validation, monitoring, and error handling
- Support production deployments and resolve data pipeline issues
- Document data flows, transformations, and technical designs
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimally 4 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering/ETL Development
- Strong experience with ETL design patterns, data warehousing, and real-time/near real-time data processing
- Strong hands-on experience with Talend (Data Integration/Big Data)
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL/Synapse
- Strong SQL skills (complex queries, performance tuning)
- Experience with data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with batch and near-real-time data processing
- Understanding of data governance, security, and access controls
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience with Python or Spark (preferred)
- Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD pipelines for data platforms (preferred)
- Experience with Power BI or downstream analytics tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud cost optimization best practices (preferred)
