Key Responsibilities
- Optimize production equipment layouts by applying industrial engineering principles to improve material flow, footprint efficiency, and overall factory output.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date layout documentation, ensuring that all planned tool installations, relocations, upgrades, and removals are reflected in the ramp-plan layout.
- Perform onsite assessments together with Facilities and tool owners to validate layout feasibility, verify physical and infrastructure constraints, and ensure that proposed layouts accurately reflect operational conditions.
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Facilities to communicate layout changes, resolve constraints, and ensure alignment throughout the planning and execution process.
- Develop foundational understanding of factory design, cleanroom protocols, and process areas to support effective layout planning and operational readiness.
- Plan and manage tools movement.
- Support scenario studies to meet strategic objectives.
- Deploy appropriate AI-driven solutions in achieving effective and efficient outcomes for self and teams.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Computer engineering or related discipline.
- Proficiency in M365 Apps such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint etc.
- Strong critical-thinking skills, with the ability to analyze constraints, evaluate trade-offs, and support data-driven decision-making in layout planning.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset to drive actions and alignment with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to multi-task and organize work systematically in meeting deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Physically able to work inside a cleanroom environment, including wearing full cleanroom attire (smock, hood, gloves, boots) and performing on-site checks such as layout validations and equipment-area walkthroughs.
- Demonstrated at least 2 years of leadership skills, such as in university or other co-curricular activities.
- Prior programming work (inclusive of vibe coding using free Gen AI tools).
- Hands-on experience in AI (Chatbot, Agentic AI, Automation, etc) tools in academic or work environments.
- Internship or experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Interest in and knowledge of the semiconductor industry and Micron is preferred.
