Key Responsibilities
- Providing legal advisory services to, and engaging in stakeholder discussions on, a broad range of matters across various banking functions (including tech and ops, HR).
- Managing and handling of disputes, including representing the Bank in adjudications and mediations.
- Drafting, reviewing and hands-on negotiation of diverse banking/commercial documents and agreements.
- Drafting product terms and conditions; legal policies and guidelines.
- Advising business leaders on significant legal issues impacting the business.
- Participating in special projects, both local and regional (including industry-wide initiatives, corporate actions, business transformation).
- Working with internal stakeholders to support the Bank's strategy and drive business growth.
- Other job-related duties which may be assigned as required.
Requirements
- Degree in Law
- At least 8 years of relevant legal experience in banking and finance
- Strong knowledge of banking laws and regulations
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities
