Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering study to include good design practice for state-of-the-art system designs, system capacity and capability analysis, planning for future requirements, as well as code compliance
  • Maintain engineering databases in support of capacity tracking, capital equipment facilitation, and cash flow project management for assigned systems/areas
  • Provide support for start-up of new equipment and ensure that all equipment will properly interface to other mechanical and electrical systems
  • Specify critical components for design projects and assure designs meet all applicable codes and regulations, including IFC, IBC, NEC, NFPA, FM, CGA, and Semi standards
  • Perform engineering study on emerging facilities technologies to support cutting edge semiconductor processes
  • Participate in mid to long term infrastructure planning for facilities in support of the overall company plan
  • Work with in-house TGCM contractor to ensure chemical and gas delivery system runs smoothly
  • Review and improve Operation and Maintenance SOP and RA
  • Respond to system issues and perform troubleshooting with in-house TGCM contractors and OEMs
  • Verify all works done by Chemical and Gas section are in accordance with company safety guidelines, ensure safety features are engineered into designs, and maintain communication with other engineering disciplines and customers
  • Ensure QMS/business process effectiveness, conformity, intended output delivery, performance reporting, customer focus, and integrity maintenance during changes
  • Plan facilities changes for plant, office, and production equipment layouts toward economy of operation, maximum use of facilities and equipment, and compliance with laws and regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as Chemical & Gas Engineer
  • Strong collaboration teammate with good communication and presentation skills to show strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Relevant high purity chemical and gas experience in operation/maintenance and engineering in semiconductor/electronic/wafer fab industry
  • Familiar and relevant experience on operating and maintaining chemical and gas equipment or system such as Valve manifold box (VMB), Chemical Dispense Machine (CDM), Gas Cabinet (GC) or Bulk Specialty Gas System (BSGS)
  • Involved in trouble shooting and problem solving methodology such as 8D problem solving method, 5Why Root cause analysis methods, Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Words, PowerPoint
