About the role

AI summarised

This internship supports the TD RDA (Review and Defect Analysis) process team in developing inline detection capabilities for advanced NAND technologies. The role involves assisting with inspection tool evaluation, data analysis, process-tool interaction studies, and cross-functional collaboration to improve defect detection and yield learning. Interns will gain hands-on experience with wafer data interpretation, experimental execution, and engineering reporting in a high-volume fab environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in evaluating and improving detection performance across multiple inspection platforms (e.g., optical, e-beam, and review tools)
  • Support recipe setup, tuning, and validation for new NAND technology flows
  • Conduct structured experiments to assess tool and recipe sensitivity
  • Analyze wafer maps, inspection datasets, and classification results to identify patterns, gaps, or coverage limitations
  • Use data-driven methods to summarize findings and recommend improvements
  • Create automated scripts or dashboards to streamline recurring analysis tasks
  • Work with RDA engineers to study the interaction between process conditions and inspection outcomes
  • Participate in cross-functional discussions with process, equipment, and metrology teams to understand factory flows and constraints
  • Support the execution of inline trials and engineering lots for detection evaluation
  • Document experiment objectives, conditions, observations, and outcomes clearly
  • Prepare concise summaries and slides for internal reviews
  • Work with module owners, integration engineers, and team leads to understand inspection requirements for emerging NAND nodes

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in semiconductor technology and inspection methodology
  • Experience with Python, MATLAB, JMP, or other data tools is a plus
  • Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
