Key Responsibilities

  • Perform repair, refurbishment, and modification of high-temperature dies using appropriate tooling and techniques

  • Interpret and execute tasks based on: Technical drawings Written and illustrated technique sheets Standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality documentation
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation and problem-solving on the shopfloor
  • Maintain strict adherence to: Quality standards and procedures 5S and housekeeping practices Health, safety, and environmental requirements
  • Support ad-hoc shopfloor activities related to tooling, repair, and production needs

Requirements

  • NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in tool and die, machining, or precision engineering environment
  • Hands-on experience in at least 2–3 of the following areas is required: CNC machining (preferably 5-axis) Wire cutting (EDM) Lathe or milling operations Welding (tooling/die repair context) Manual polishing and finishing
  • Experience working with high-temperature or hardened materials is advantageous
  • Familiarity with geometric measurement / inspection equipment (e.g., CMM) preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Strong hands-on technical capability with tools and machines
  • High attention to precision, detail, and quality
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair tooling issues independently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts and extended hours
  • Team player with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
