- The Human Systems (HS) Division strengthens Singapore’s defence by developing capabilities in Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear defence, human factor engineering, and behavioural science.
- We protect against chemical and biological warfare and enhance the safety and performance of the Singapore Armed Forces.
- Oversee the daily operations and ensure 24/7 operational readiness of the biocontainment facilities
- Work closely with the Biosafety Coordinator and Institutional Biosafety Committee to ensure facilities complies with regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions related to facility operations
Requirements
- Degree/ Masters/ PhD in Microbiology/ Infectious Biology/ Safety Management
- At least 5 years’ experience in biocontainment laboratory operations or commissioning
- Knowledge in biosafety and biosecurity including authority code requirements
- Good communication and people skills in managing stakeholders, including contractors, regulatory authorities, laboratory users, and own team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
