Key Responsibilities
- Design quantum devices for inertial or electromagnetic sensing
- Demonstrate proof-of-concepts of sensing techniques and schemes that leverage quantum physics
- Test and characterise quantum devices or materials in optical, vacuum, or cryogenic setups
- Conduct experimental validation of quantum sensors such as atomic interferometers, SQUIDs, Rydberg atom or NV diamond sensors
- Work with software engineers, system engineers and stakeholders to ensure successful transition of lab devices into sensor payloads
Requirements
- PhD / Masters / Bachelor's Degree in Applied Physics, Physics, or Engineering Science
- Strong background in quantum physics, laser physics, and/or atomic, molecular and optical physics
- Proficiency at developing or using physics-based numerical or analytical models
- Experience in lasers, optics, high vacuum or cryogenic experiments
- Team player and self-driven learner
- Passion in translating emerging technologies into real world applications
