Key Responsibilities
- Perform system-level laser performance studies through theoretical simulation and experimental characterization
- Modularize laser concepts using experimental setups on optical tables and implement controls to improve optical performance and stability
- Conduct characterization and reliability testing of critical laser crystals and components such as CLBO, BBO, PPSLT, and coated optics
- Collaborate with strategic suppliers to ensure delivered laser products meet KLA's performance requirements
- Allocate error budgets for opto-mechanical sub-assemblies based on laser specifications and verify system impact of parameter deviations through simulation and experiment
Requirements
- Doctorate in Physics or Optics with at least 5 years of research experience
- Experience in DUV laser design and managing complex laser and optical systems
- Proficiency in utilization and characterization of harmonic generation crystals
- Strong experimental skills with problem-solving and data analysis abilities
- Prior experience with photo-contamination control best practices is highly desired
