Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks as defined in the Maintenance Work Orders for facilities and manufacturing equipment
  • Completes maintenance/ inspection logs, work orders and other related paperwork
  • Ensure high quality equipment history is entered for 100% of all work ordered executed and provide feedback to the Planners regarding the correctness and quality of the Job Plans
  • Accurately confirm 100% of the daily time into the computerized maintenance management system using the correct Scheduling Compliance Codes
  • Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA's) and Reliability Center Maintenance Reviews (RCM's) and follow up on all corrective actions and preventive actions
  • Troubleshoot to resolve equipment problems, repair, perform adjustments, rebuild, maintain and return to service with minimal downtime
  • Perform PPM routines, preventive maintenance inspections, lubrication, restoration and repairs to plant equipment in an effort to maximize equipment availability and to avoid repeat failures
  • Performs technical completion of non-GMP maintenance work order; initiate follow up work order and discrepancy notification as necessary
  • Co-ordinate LOTO and follow all specified safety practices described in the Job Safety Analysis
  • Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment
  • Provide support to manufacturing, utility and engineering services during routine and shutdown maintenance work; and product switch-over in support of plant operations

Requirements

  • A Diploma/ITC in Mechanical, Marine or Chemical Process Engineering with a strong background in operation and maintenance of production and utility systems
  • Good inter-personal and excellent organization skills
  • Must be team oriented, and customer focus, attention to details, accurate and thorough
  • Willing to perform shift hours as required
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills to interact with equipment operators, other maintenance personnel, engineers, or equipment vendors
  • Ability to read and comprehend equipment schematics/assembly drawings, pneumatic and hydraulic schematic diagrams
  • Must have excellent analytical problem solving skills to identify/determine causes of equipment or component failure and assist in developing programs to reduce occurrence rates
