Key Responsibilities
- Identify and analyze key industry and R&D trends across major and emerging MedTech technology areas and clinical applications.
- Synthesize and present insights to support the design and execution of national RIE MedTech strategies.
- Spearhead the development and execution of A*STAR's MedTech R&D programmes and strategies.
- Conduct reviews and make recommendations to executive management regarding A*STAR MedTech strategy, roadmaps, capabilities, and resourcing.
- Build trusted relationships between management and research performers across A*STAR institutes to forge multi-disciplinary MedTech collaborations.
- Lead scoping of large multi-party grant proposals (e.g., IAF-PP, Programmatic) and facilitate engagements between research partners.
- Support project monitoring and mediation to align processes and expectations among relevant stakeholders.
- Develop a network with the academic research, clinical community, and public sector planning/economic agencies in Singapore.
- Support A*STAR-wide project and outcomes tracking.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or related technical field.
- >10 years of working experience in medical device/Health IT industry, R&D, strategic/corporate planning, life science management consulting, or relevant roles.
- Possess a good understanding of the R&D value chain and requirements in key MedTech markets.
- Experience in front-facing engagements dealing with vendors, key accounts, and stakeholders.
- Excellent networking, communication, and writing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
