Key Responsibilities
- Develop tools to extract and structure critical engineering communication information using AI tools.
- Coordinate and structure the development of AI solutions for discrete component manufacturing.
- Understand and assign manufacturing processes based on features detected on a component via various agents.
- Provide AI support for manufacturing process quality, including DED, Machining, and Joining.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and interns in AI tool development within manufacturing.
- Bridge and improve digital workflows in engineering design with the aid of AI algorithms.
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to detect and extract critical information from 2D drawings for downstream automation.
- Understanding of the elements constituting 3D CAD files (.STEP, .STL, SLDPRT, etc.).
- Deep knowledge of AI libraries and tools for feature recognition and information extraction.
- Adaptability to AI frameworks and agentic platform development.
- Ability to develop models effectively with minimal data requirements.
- Understanding of how to integrate manufacturing knowledge to automate processes with context.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
