Key Responsibilities

  • Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments to develop advanced packaging etch processes meeting technology and manufacturing targets (performance, yield, reliability, stability, cost of ownership).
  • Startup and qualifying new processes and equipment within scheduled timelines, collaborating with Equipment Engineers on acceptance and tool matching.
  • Improving process robustness for high volume manufacturing using statistical tools, DOE techniques, data-driven decision making, and systematic problem-solving.
  • Resolving complex technical issues related to the assigned module or yield issues in collaboration with the equipment team.
  • Sustaining and improving processes and SPC to meet quality, cost, and productivity requirements.
  • Facilitating CIP programs to optimize process window, cost, yield, and productivity.

Requirements

  • BS degree or Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Science, Solid State Physics, or other relevant engineering physical science discipline.
  • Relevant working experience with Bonder (TEL W2W/ BESI D2W), die re-constitution, and Annealing (TEL Alpha 303, Mattson Helios) process tools.
  • For Principal Engineer & MTS roles: Required experience leading Fab-wide cross-module process development projects.
  • Proven ability to conduct regular knowledge-sharing meetings with PI & UMD, aiming for three projects per year improving quality, cost, yield, or productivity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively across different cultures.
