ResearchFull-time
Key Responsibilities
- The ET Division is looking to hire a research scientist in the area of electrocatalytic and photocatalytic systems for decarbonised chemical conversions. The project is funded by the National Research Fellowship grant awarded to the Principal Investigator (Dr. Leow Wan Ru) over a duration of 5 years. This area of research is crucial to develop capability in ISCE2 for sustainability: to develop effective catalysts that can enable the manufacture of important commodity chemicals with much reduced carbon footprint.
- Development of new electro/photocatalyst materials and characterization
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields
- Experience in electro/photochemistry
- Experience in Electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR)
- Experience in Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER)
- Experience in Electro/photocatalytic transformation of small molecules
- Experience in Biomass valorization to useful commodities
- Experience in Development of new electro/photocatalyst materials and characterization
- Experience in Fundamental investigations through operando spectroscopy, i.e., Raman or X-ray absorption spectroscopies
- Experience in Device engineering and optimization
