Key Responsibilities

  • Develop end-to-end joining and additive manufacturing solutions (parameters, deposition strategies), including pre-processing and post-processing for laser, e-beam, and arc-based processes.
  • Perform material evaluation (microstructural and defects analysis) and material testing, including sample preparation and heat treatment for processed parts.
  • Operate robotic and/or CNC systems for welding and Directed Energy Deposition (DED) processes.
  • Develop customized CAD/CAM modules for advanced toolpath planning in welding and joining processes.
  • Develop deposition strategies and generate post-processors for robot-based manufacturing processes.
  • Design and implement new hardware modules for arc and laser-based DED processes.
  • Integrate hardware & software for process monitoring and control in robotic hybrid manufacturing processes.
  • Serve as equipment/process owner for welding and joining machines, maintaining SOPs, risk assessments, and providing training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on welding and/or joining experience with stainless steel, nickel-based, titanium, copper, and/or aluminium alloys.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in language with good written, spoken, and comprehension skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and agile requirement changes.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
