Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end joining and additive manufacturing solutions (parameters, deposition strategies), including pre-processing and post-processing for laser, e-beam, and arc-based processes.
- Perform material evaluation (microstructural and defects analysis) and material testing, including sample preparation and heat treatment for processed parts.
- Operate robotic and/or CNC systems for welding and Directed Energy Deposition (DED) processes.
- Develop customized CAD/CAM modules for advanced toolpath planning in welding and joining processes.
- Develop deposition strategies and generate post-processors for robot-based manufacturing processes.
- Design and implement new hardware modules for arc and laser-based DED processes.
- Integrate hardware & software for process monitoring and control in robotic hybrid manufacturing processes.
- Serve as equipment/process owner for welding and joining machines, maintaining SOPs, risk assessments, and providing training.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Materials, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding, or equivalent.
- Hands-on welding and/or joining experience with stainless steel, nickel-based, titanium, copper, and/or aluminium alloys.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in language with good written, spoken, and comprehension skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-paced environment and agile requirement changes.
