Key Responsibilities

  • Provision of engineering concepts and ideas for meeting technical requirements.
  • Generation of complete set of design solution (mechanical / electrical / pneumatics drawings, cables drawings, BOM and assembly instructions etc.) either within a team or independently.
  • Complete all job-related activities such as drawings preparation, BOM k/o and assembly operation according to the planned schedule.
  • Support the development of new projects in terms of sequence and motion controls by using control systems provided by the company.
  • Transfer the content to PDM system. Release all details to system which allows production department to take over.
  • Capture project details in the form of pictures and video files.
  • Ensure that the information collected is filed inside the corresponding project folder with correct file name.
  • Storage of maintenance of picture and video files capture equipment.
  • Travel from time to time for project discussions and negotiation.
  • Travel from time to time for project commissioning, data collection and field performance evaluation.
  • Assist operation group in order to ensure smooth shipment of company products to customers.
  • Take up special assignments from time to time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/ Mechatronics Engineering with 5 years' experience in developing and designing mechanical systems for advanced semiconductor processing/inspection equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge in SolidWorks and PDM.
  • Knowledge in the application of servo, linear actuators, precision mechanics, pneumatics, GD&T principles and drafting standards.
  • Ability to interconnect Mechanical and Electrical knowledge for advanced product development.
  • Knowledge in using CAD system to develop circuit diagrams (pneumatic and electrical). Fluent in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks/ EPlan, and PDM systems.
  • Experience in mechatronics in development of complete systems consisting of controllers/servo/step motors and sensors, as well as academic background in PLC/motion and presence detection/servo systems circuit design will be added advantage.
  • Creative problem solver with excellent communication skills.
