Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concept, design, test, implementation, debug and commission customized semi and fully automatic machines to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost in the order in a fast-paced production shop
  • Perform prototype design, assembly, testing and troubleshooting
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and customers to develop work plan, deliverables, required resources, monitor project activities, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Work with external vendors and system integrators to deliver Automated and Robotic equipment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 10 years’ experience in mechanical design of customized automated systems
  • A track record of prototyping, delivering new and custom design automated equipment in production environment
  • In-depth knowledge experience of customized automated machine design
  • Good knowledge using 3D modeling software such as Solidworks, Creo or NX
  • Experience in mechanical drafting practices and a working knowledge of terms, rules, and applications of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Good understanding of material selections, machined part fabrication and processes
  • Good and strong knowledge in designing and troubleshooting pneumatic circuits is a must
  • Must have strong knowledge in handling different phases of project management in Automation Equipment Design
  • Constantly thinking out of box for simple and innovative design
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical skills
  • Prior experience in leading a project team
  • A self-starter with minimum support within stringent timeline
  • Knowledge of industrial robots’ applications would be an advantage
  • Experience in machine programming (control and/or vision) is a plus
