Key Responsibilities
- Defining a standard measure of thermal spray yield, deploying the measurement into the MRO network, and tracking progress during the MTO Engineering MOR
- Implementing standard work and tools to capture process parameters and lab results across the full network. This could include workflows or other digital tools.
- Identifying shops 'off standard' against best practices, and enabling process improvements to move all shops to the same foundation
- Integrating robotics and other automation techniques to remove human variation from the process, including machine setup, masking, and other upstream processes like grit blasting
- Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 10 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing
- Knowledge of overhaul and component repair processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage large complex projects
- Fluent in English, written and verbal
- Ability to travel 25% to international destinations, including but not limited to: USA, Brazil, United Kingdom, Hungary, Poland, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, and Taiwan
- Strong relationships with GE Aerospace MRO shops
- Foundational knowledge on thermal spray processes
- Understanding of how to integrate automation, or experience with managing vendors that integrate automation
- Highly motivated, self-starting, and passionate
- Experience in GE Aerospace MRO Facility
- Demonstrated team leadership, collaboration, and facilitation skills
