About the role
AI summarisedARTC is seeking a Development Engineer to join the Autonomous Systems & Robotics (ASR) group. You will contribute to developing novel, intelligent, and reconfigurable robotic systems for industry adoption across the manufacturing and logistics ecosystem in Singapore. This role involves applied research, leading small projects, and applying AI to solve practical industrial problems.

Key Responsibilities
- Study new technologies and market tools, evaluating pros and cons to contribute to generative AI-driven robotic and automation system development.
- Validate new concepts for systems or methods using virtual models, simulations, and physical prototypes.
- Design and develop physical/software modules, programs, and other system components.
- Test and validate systems/solutions developed by other project team members.
- Support the development of detailed technical proposals addressing complex industry challenges in automation and robotics.
- Contribute to robotics and automation system/software development for grant-funded research and direct industrial problem statements.
- Support senior staff in engaging with System Integrators (SI) and vendors to deploy AI-based automation systems in operational environments.
- Write and maintain technical documentation of project work and deliver presentations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering).
- 0-2 years of experience in developing AI/ML-based robotics and automation systems/software solutions.
- Proficiency in software programming (e.g., Python, C/C++).
- Ability to work hands-on with limited supervision on robotics/automation system development projects.
- Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
