Key Responsibilities

Responsibility for laboratory organization, including but not limited to ensuring labs are clean and organized, communal stock administration, oversight of cold storage units and lab access procedures
Maintain and organize inventory of laboratory equipment and supplies using our in house systems and databases
Assisting with coordinating of laboratory equipment calibration and maintenance and keeping records up to date
Hosting internal and external contractors during visits to the laboratories
Track, order, and receive lab reagents and disposables such as chemicals, enzymes, buffers, pipette tips, reagent tubes, etc
Handling Environment, Health & Safety (e.g. point-of-contact for the EH&S team and Risk Assessments, safety inspections) and Facilities (e.g. equipment moves, space planning) related tasks
As applicable: assist specialist labs with their needs in order to maintain functionality and support the day-to-day operations
Provide ad-hoc support to others within lab management team
Collaborate with other departments on cross functional projects

Requirements

Experience working in or supervising a wet lab or equivalent containing standard equipment (liquid handling robots, safety cabinets, compressed gases, chemical handling and disposal, centrifuges, PCR machines, etc.)
Experience with, or ability to learn, microbiological containment level requirements, to CL2
Organized, detail-oriented individual with excellent time management skills
Experience working with a Quality Management System
Excellent communication skills required
Motivated, enthusiastic, hard-working, cheerful individual who desires to be part of a fast-paced dynamic environment
Uses interpersonal skills to influence customers, suppliers and other comparable level managers
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or a Science Diploma with 3 years of relevant or equivalent work experience in a science-related field (e.g., Chemistry, Materials Science, Surface Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genomics, Genetics, or a related discipline)
Having considerable direct work experience with working directly with Scientists is a plus
Strong communication skills for regular interactions with Core R&D lab teams and other teams & departments
