Key Responsibilities

  • Lead in the identification and consolidation of engineering standards for mechanical/electrical, electronics/hydraulic, structural, and thermal systems
  • Develop work instructions, test parameters, test jigs, and test benches to enhance equipment repair and overhaul capabilities
  • Lead in the conduct of engineering analytics for equipment failure and trending of defect data to seek engineering insights and identify areas for reliability and safety improvements
  • Lead in the development of in-house capabilities to support the evolution from preventive to predictive maintenance
  • Lead in the development of engineering solutions, propose relevant modifications, and work with Ops and Maintenance teams to implement and validate safety and effectiveness of solutions
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate alternate parts, out-of-manual repairs, and modifications to support obsolescence management
  • Lead in the conduct of defect investigation to identify root cause and follow-up, including developing fault tree analysis, FEMCA, and conducting forensic investigation
  • Perform review of project design specifications to support refurbishment & maintenance projects to ensure adequate safety, reliability, maintainability, and operability considerations
  • Independently conduct defect troubleshooting, failure analysis, engineering analysis, and develop engineering solutions to identified problems
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on engineering and maintenance efforts to ensure high equipment reliability and availability

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Preferably with at least 2 years’ working experience in automotive, aerospace, or heavy equipment environment
  • Fresh graduates from local universities are welcome to apply
  • Comfortable working hands-on in a maintenance workshop environment alongside Engineers, Assistant Engineers, and Technical Officers
  • Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods such as FMECA and Fault Tree analysis
  • Possess basic understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems for vehicular platforms
  • Able to read and understand technical/electrical drawings
  • Equipped with Solidworks Software skills for 3D Modelling and Drafting
  • Possess knowledge in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Able to present ideas, approach, and objectives clearly
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Able to work independently and as a team effectively, adjusting flexibly to different work situations
