Key Responsibilities
- Optimise day-to-day operational support for organisational activities and events, applying process improvement to boost efficiency.
- Conduct daily walkabout of premises, evaluating operational conditions and ensuring the centre is in good operational condition, uncompromised security and safety compliance
- Support operations and research through workshops, offices, infrastructure, and security management.
- Manage inventory systems for supplies, IT assets, and event logistics with technology for tracking and forecasting.
- Lead and coordinate event venue setup and post-event reinstatement, to ensure seamless transitions and optimal use of resources.
- Set up and troubleshoot AV equipment, implementing innovations to improve reliability and user experience.
- Identify and implement facility repairs or upgrades, including cost-benefit analysis and business case preparation.
- Work with contractors to maintain quality and safety, ensuring compliance and value for money.
- Contribute to facilities projects and audits, using critical thinking and research to drive improvements.
- Liaise with vendors for quotes and service delivery, applying procurement best practices.
- Support Corporate Services and HSE initiatives, including campaigns and communications.
- Take on additional tasks as assigned, showing adaptability and a commitment to growth.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: Diploma (minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience) or Bachelor (candidates without prior experience are welcome) in a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in operations for workshop, labs, facility, building services, AV system
- Willingness to occasionally work outside office hours
- Some understanding in the HSE requirement
- Ability to break down tasks and provide realistic timelines
- Communicates effectively and interacts well with others.
- Skilled in using MS Office and various collaboration tools.
- Self-driven, meticulous, able to multi-task and work independently and as part of a team
