Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of AI/ML models for price forecasting, load forecasting, unit commitment, and dispatch optimization.
- Assist in fuel procurement and hedging optimization, as well as portfolio optimization and PnL modeling.
- Conduct market anomaly, volatility, and pattern detection using large financial and operational datasets.
- Build data pipelines for market, fundamental, and alternative data sources.
- Develop dashboards and analytics tools to support traders and portfolio managers.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical research for model development.
- Assist in backtesting trading strategies and performing performance attribution.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or Engineering (Computing, Electrical, Systems, or related).
- Proficiency in Pandas and NumPy.
- Strong command of SQL and data engineering concepts.
- Experience with Scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with time-series modeling techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
- Ability to work with large, complex datasets.
