Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Group Credit function for the Commercial Banking portfolio, ensuring sound credit risk management practices.
- Oversee credit approval process for commercial lending transactions, including new proposals, renewals, and amendments.
- Develop and maintain credit policies, procedures, and risk appetite frameworks in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Monitor and report on portfolio credit quality, including early warning signals, concentration risk, and impairment assessment.

- Drive credit risk culture and governance across the organization, including training and awareness programs.

- Lead and develop a high-performing team of credit risk professionals, fostering talent and succession planning.
- Collaborate with other risk functions (Market, Operational, etc.) to ensure integrated risk management.
- Participate in credit risk committees and present credit risk reports to senior management and board.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of experience in credit risk management, preferably in commercial banking.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk principles, including credit analysis, structuring, and portfolio management.
- In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, including MAS guidelines and Basel frameworks.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a team of credit professionals.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to assess complex credit risks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior management and business heads.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM) is preferred.
- Experience in credit risk systems and data analytics is an advantage.
