Key Responsibilities
- Lead and drive therapeutic target discovery and validation projects for MASLD.
- Design and execute experiments integrating patient-derived omics data, in vivo functional genetic screening, and human in vitro disease models.
- Perform and oversee in vivo studies utilizing MASLD mouse models.
- Develop and optimize hepatocyte-based in vitro systems, including lipotoxicity and inflammatory models.
- Conduct gene perturbation studies (e.g., siRNA, shRNA) and evaluate therapeutic efficacy.
- Interpret complex datasets to establish mechanistic links between targets and disease biology.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including CROs) to advance projects through go/no-go milestones.
- Prepare scientific manuscripts, reports, and presentations documenting research findings.
Requirements
- PhD-trained scientist with strong drug discovery expertise (target identification to preclinical assessment).
- Proficiency in establishing mechanistic links between targets and disease biology, preferably in MASH or metabolic disorders.
- Demonstrated experience with In Vitro & In Vivo Models, including cellular assays and rodent disease models.
- Proven ability to manage CRO collaborations, ensuring study design quality and data integrity.
- Skilled in analytical thinking, critical decision-making, and problem-solving regarding project viability.
- Strong scientific communication skills with a track record of publications and presentations.
