Key Responsibilities
- Pursue all opportunities to maximise profit and cash for the company and manage or support as appropriate the pricing/business cases to support these opportunities; instruct and administer new business agreements to fully secure these opportunities.
- Negotiate the resolution of claims, disputes and litigation in order to minimise cost and risk to the Company via direct interaction with our customers across the Asia Pacific and Greater China regions. Help manage any potential market perception issues.
- Manage any customer restructuring, rehabilitations and insolvencies through to conclusion and to provide the best possible outcome for the business.
- Lead internal approval sessions relating to the issues being managed so that a timely response can be provided to customers.
- Identify potential risks and liabilities inherent in commercial solutions and/or existing contracts. Negotiate contracts or contract amendments to minimise or mitigate the same, using judgement in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the business.
- Interface with specialist departments, as required, within the company to obtain advice and guidance. Evaluate and apply such advice and guidance as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, guidelines and contracting framework in line with relevant governance.
- Deliver and support continuous improvement & commercial best practise activities for the business and General Counsel function.
- Maintain frequent and precise communications internally across all issues being managed.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Well-developed interpersonal, diplomacy, communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Ability to solve complex problems while maintaining customer focus.
- Highly motivated and capable of working under own initiative.
- Sound Commercial judgement and business acumen.
- Proficient in all aspects of administration.
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet demanding deadlines.
- Experience of influencing at all levels, internally and externally.
