Production Planner

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering through the production cycle.
• Ensures non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
• Tracks shortages and runs shortage meetings with the procurement team, identifying critical part shortages that could jeopardize ship schedules.
• Maintains the bill of materials (BOM), ensuring it supports efficient material flow and aligns with the assembly process.
• Maintains the critical path of BOMs in the area of responsibility and drives engineering to maintain alignment with the manufacturing process.
• Understands manufacturing capacity and allocates resources as required to meet build plan commitments.
• Identifies and resolves problems relating to cycle count variances.
• Attends production meetings as well as Ship Rev meetings.
