Key Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test, and analyze software programs and applications for backend automation, backend manufacturing system, backend tracking system and backend planning and scheduling system. This software consists of both internal Micron applications and third-party vendor applications.
  • Conduct and participate in research, design, documentation, and modification of software specifications throughout the software development life cycle
  • Take ownership for area of support and projects with understanding of business process in the area of responsibility
  • Work in several areas of software development as part of a team or independently
  • Participate, collaborate and work with global counterparts or customers on issues, and support improvement and development efforts
  • Proactively engage with customers to establish key areas of strategic technology to leverage competitive advantage of IT to support business needs
  • Demonstrate good understanding of business processes, of how core systems are used in business and their inter-related dependencies
  • Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and execute escalation processes as required
  • Responsible for system availability to support 24x7 Manufacturing/Engineering operations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields—or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Perl, Angular, HTML5 and SQL.
  • Passion for creating innovative IT solutions to address critical business challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Bring your enthusiasm to work with a dynamic team, achieving shared goals through effective collaboration and commitment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Respond promptly and resolve high-priority Manufacturing Software Application issues as needed.
  • Highly motivated with solid software project management skills. Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
