Key Responsibilities
- Support, enhance, and maintain PDKs and various Analog/Mixed-Signal design tools (50% of time).
- Collaborate with EDA vendors to track and resolve complex technical issues.
- Work with Technology Foundry teams (internal/external) to facilitate debugging and proper characterization of tool-related issues.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- 10 years of experience with EDA tools.
- Expertise in Virtuoso Studio 23.1, Cadence ADE-L/XL, Maestro, Spectre, Virtuoso Layout, Quantus QRC, Voltus-XFi EMIR, EMX, Synopsys Hspice, Primesim, StarRC, Quickcap, and Mentor Calibre/PERC.
- Solid background in programming, circuit design, and device physics to address layout, physical verification, and post-layout extraction challenges.
- Expert proficiency in Cadence Skill, Perl, Unix Shell scripting and utilities.
- Experience across all phases of CAD tools: evaluation, QA, test, release, user support, and documentation.
- Strong domain expertise in RCX, EM/IR, Substrate-Noise/Crosstalk, or Aging/SHE circuit simulation is highly valued.
