Key Responsibilities
- Work in any SMRT Maintenance Depots or facilities
- Work at heights to perform engineering activities
- Work effectively with Operations and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects
- Develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify defects
- Analyse and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns
- Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities
- Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Trains, Locomotives and Equipment performance
- Support LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for the safety, reliability, maintainability and operability
- Identify and report any safety concerns at the workplace
- Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works, as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics Engineering from a recognised institution
- Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers
- Must also be able to work in different shift timings, when required
- Adept with diagnostics and reliability engineering methods such as FMECA, Fault Tree analysis, Weibull analysis and Damage Tolerance Analysis, etc
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Effective organizational and planning skills
- Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English
