Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead efforts in projects to discover novel flavour enhancers using structural bioinformatics, high-throughput GPCR activity screening, affinity-mass spectrometry and cellular assays
- Support and lead efforts in projects to generate a sustainable yeast-based platform for Alternative Lipids
- Actively participate in the design and execution of various R&D projects
- Acquire cutting edge research and analytical skills
- Contribute to the translation of scientific findings from bench to bedside
- Manage the laboratory
- Plan, design, coordinate and execute projects
- Communicate with scientific collaborators
- Generate project reports and deliver presentations at project meetings
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or a related discipline
- Experience in molecular biology methods will be an advantage (but training from scratch is possible)
- Proficient in routine molecular biology techniques like PCR, cloning etc
- Proficient in managing the laboratory
- Proficient in project planning, design, coordination and execution
- Proficient in communicating with scientific collaborators
- Proficient in generating project reports and delivering presentations at project meetings
- Well organized, with good interpersonal and written communication skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and adaptable to work exigencies
- Ability to work independently and as a team
