Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automation solutions for lab and production environments, including robotics, vision systems, and automated material movement
  • Translate operational requirements into technical specifications, test plans, and acceptance criteria
  • Establish & review ROI analysis methodology for automation solutions
  • Review technical procurement specification (Doc2/TAR) in purchase orders to vendors
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate equipment with MES and AMHS automation platforms using standard protocols and secure interfaces
  • Lead buyoff activities (FAT/SAT/PAC) and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Monitor automation performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement continuous improvements
  • Prepare documentation, SOPs, and training materials for operators and engineers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronics, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience with automated material handling systems (e.g Robotics/OHT/AGV)
  • Knowledge of vision systems, robotics, and error-proofing techniques
  • Basic programming or scripting (Python, SQL, or similar) is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • 3–8 years of experience in factory or lab automation, including equipment integration and workflow automation
  • Familiarity with automation protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM), SEMI standard protocol such as E84, E87, and scripting for data analysis is preferred
  • Exposure or knowledge of industrial 4.0 standard is preferred
  • Exposure to reliability lab processes and automation in semiconductor environments is preferred
