Key Responsibilities
- Interface with Design Engineering team for the release of new products (NPI) into Manufacturing
- Participate in design reviews and assemble prototype units to evaluate design for manufacturability and reliability
- Apply 8D troubleshooting to drive learning, standardization, and continuous improvement of system hardware, diagnostics, software, tooling, and documentation
- Create Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), structure BOMs, and generate test and assembly documentation as needed
- Work with suppliers to resolve component, yield, or part issues and support purchasing in supplier quality and cost improvement initiatives
- Provide technical support to production teams and field escalations for in-depth product issue analysis and resolution
- Generate and maintain process and equipment work instructions, drawings, and production documents to conform to specifications
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year of related work experience with a Master's degree or 3 years with a Bachelor's degree
- Ability to understand complex electro-mechanical and optical assemblies in high-precision defect inspection equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including experiment setup, data analysis, and technical issue resolution
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using precision testing and measurement instruments
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
- Experience in semiconductor equipment or manufacturing is advantageous
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control is desirable
