Key Responsibilities
- Execute General Ledger activities and monthly closing for APAC regional offices according to the close calendar, adhering to corporate accounting policies and internal controls.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting teams across functions to see through the monthly accounting close, addressing critical accounting matters.
- Improve month-end close processes and reporting cycles for APAC regional offices, including account analysis and reconciliation review.
- Prepare and review monthly/quarterly corporate reporting for local statutory filing, consistent with IFRS and GlobalFoundries policies.
- Coordinate and manage annual statutory audits, liaising with auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit process.
- Support internal audits to maintain sound corporate governance and proper record keeping.
- Deliver timely regulatory reporting and statistical surveys.
- Support technical accounting projects and system improvement initiatives on an ad-hoc basis.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CA).
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience.
- Experience preferably gained in a multinational manufacturing company or CPA firm.
- Knowledge of IFRS standards is required.
- Familiarity with close processes within an ERP environment.
- Proven ability to prepare/review monthly financial statements.
- Strong communication skills in English, capable of operating in an international setting.
