Key Responsibilities

  • Execute approved and compliant market trades and nominations in Power and Gas Markets
  • Ensure physical delivery of power through close coordination with power plant on generation dispatch and constraints
  • Optimise and extract value as a portfolio basis through close coordination with internal and external business functions
  • Support portfolio management activities in the Power and Gas markets
  • Assist with fuel procurement and hedging, retail pricing, and exposure analysis
  • Manage long-term decarbonisation goals and development plans
  • Deploy descriptive/diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analytics on business performance and market conditions to guide trading decisions
  • Collaborate with other business functions to integrate market data into models and tools
  • Analyse Singapore’s regulatory and policy developments, and assess impacts to Senoko’s position, strategies, and trading tools
  • Keep abreast of latest market intelligence and trends to inform trading strategies
  • Lead regular upkeeping, documentation, calibration, and validation of optimisation tools and systems to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Translate/operationalise analysis, ideas, and roadmap into practical tools, dashboards, and processes

Requirements

  • Graduate student in Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Quantitative Finance, or Engineering (Computing, Electrical, Systems, or related)
  • Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
  • Experience with SQL and data engineering concepts
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Experience with Time-series modelling
  • Familiarity with Optimisation (linear programming, mixed-integer programming)
  • Familiarity with Data visualisation (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
  • Knowledge of Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
  • Advantage: Knowledge of Power and gas markets, trading, or portfolio management concepts
  • Advantage: Background in Quantitative finance or algorithmic trading
  • Advantage: Experience in Energy, commodities, or capital markets
