Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize photolithography processes to meet device requirements for advanced memory technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process integration, build, manufacturing, equipment development) to integrate processes and ensure flawless technology transfer
- Work closely with equipment vendors to improve tool performance, evaluate new equipment, and implement process improvements
- Drive yield improvement, failure analysis, and device performance optimization through advanced process techniques
- Improve cycle time, resolve capacity constraints, and reduce overall cost of ownership
- Document and communicate project plans, status, and results through detailed reports and presentations, including data analysis and interpretation
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and complete required safety training
- Identify and disclose potential intellectual property opportunities through literature reviews and innovation
- Lead and contribute to the development of Micron’s Photolithography Technology Roadmap, aligning future process capabilities with business and product requirements
Requirements
- Solid grasp of optics and immersion lithography principles, including polarized illumination and low k1 imaging
- Experience with chemical processes and materials specific to lithography for 365nm, 248nm, and 193nm wavelengths
- Skilled in lithography simulation programs and their use in low k1 imaging
- Familiarity with material properties and methods for characterization related to photolithography
- Established talent in inventing and refining technologies that are production-ready
- Skilled in multitasking and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration abilities for engaging with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Familiarity with Micron’s memory architecture and semiconductor process flows
- Proficient in project management tools and methodologies
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Expertise in statistics, data analysis, Building of Experiments (DOE), and Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field relevant to photolithography and process development
- 3+ years in semiconductor photolithography or related process engineering
- Experience working with advanced lithography materials (365nm, 248nm, 193nm) and EUV processes
- Hands-on experience with brand new photolithography equipment and metrology tools
- Established experience in managing cross-functional projects and directing technology strategy
