Key Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with Ops and Maintenance staff from the Lines as well as other engineering departments to investigate defects
  • Develop methods, propose modifications and improve maintenance strategies to rectify defects
  • Analyze and trend condition monitoring and defect data to identify reliability concerns
  • Draft technical work instructions for preventive and corrective maintenance activities
  • Identify and implement cost effective technologies to enhance SMRT Signaling, Communication & Control System performance
  • Support LTA and SMRT projects in reviewing project design specifications and ensure their adequacy for safety, reliability, maintainability and operability
  • Provide other engineering support to projects as required
  • Identify and report any safety concerns at the workplace
  • Undertake any other tasks or functions incidental or ancillary to the performance of the works as assigned by supervisor
  • Support the execution of projects including verifying contractor’s work completion, providing manpower to support project testing & commissioning, attendance to contractors

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent from recognized institution
  • Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous
  • Adept with diagnostic and reliability engineering methodologies, such as Weibull Analysis, Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
  • Best practices in Maintenance Science
  • Exhibit Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable to work hands-on in a maintenance workshops environment alongside other Engineers, Assistant Engineers and Technical Officers
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • Fluent in written and spoken skills in English
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
  • Fluent in written and oral communication skills in English
