Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, manage, monitor and optimize enterprise storage solutions (SAN, NAS, DAS) and enterprise backup and recovery solutions for a multi-platform infrastructure (virtual machines, physical servers, containers)

  • Perform firmware and software upgrades for the storage and backup infrastructure
  • Ensure monitoring and alerting mechanisms are in place
  • Conduct storage capacity planning exercises and plan for future growth
  • Oversee vendor and contract management (maintenance coverage, support contracts etc.)
  • Maintain documentation including technical configuration, operational procedures and troubleshooting guides
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely incident response to ensure system reliability and service continuity

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Science & Technology/ Electronic & Computer Engineering/ Information & Computer Engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience in enterprise storage, backup, and file server administration
  • Strong understanding of storage protocols (FC, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS, Object Store)
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms (Dell, HPE)
  • Hands-on experience with backup and recovery technologies (Veeam, Networker)
  • Proficient in Windows and/or Linux operating systems
  • Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux file servers
  • Familiar with container technologies (Podman, Kubernetes)
  • Familiar with virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Possess scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible etc)
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp, Dell EMC, Veeam, Microsoft, Red Hat) are desirable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities
