Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop RF switches and antenna tuners for 5G FR1/FR3 cellular and WiFi applications using GlobalFoundries RFSOI technologies.
- Perform RF IC schematic design, layout, and verification using Cadence IC design tools.
- Execute electromagnetic (EM) simulations using tools such as EMX and ADS Momentum to validate RF performance.
- Contribute to the design and analysis of additional RF frontend blocks, like Switches, and LNAs, as part of integrated solutions.
- Develop clear and comprehensive design documentation, including architecture, simulations, and design tradeoffs.
- Define and execute detailed characterization and validation test plans to assess silicon performance.
- Collaborate closely with the characterization lab to analyze measurement results and drive model to hardware correlation.
- Engage with customers across China and Asia to understand design requirements and present technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively in English and Chinese, both verbally and in written technical materials.
- Support our Asian customers who need more assistance in designing their RF Front-end circuits like switches, antenna tuners, and low-noise amplifiers.
Requirements
- Minimum M.S/Ph.D in Electrical Engineering from top tier institutes with 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Good knowledge of silicon process technology and RFSOI.
- Excellent understanding and experience of designing other RF circuit building blocks like PAs, Analog and control circuits is a plus.
- Dedication and the ability to work within a very dynamic interdisciplinary environment.
- Ability to communicate as well as work efficiently in an international multi-disciplinary environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Role needs 30-50% travel.
- Must have good technical verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross functional teams.
