Key Responsibilities
- Leading research and development of Kibble Balance in small mass range, which could serve as the next generation primary mass standard in A*STAR NMC for Singapore. Translation of it to industry-grade applications and other industry use of Kibble Balance principle.
- Establishment of international equivalence of the above measurement capabilities through participation in international measurement comparisons.
- Dissemination of the national mass and force standards and measurement technologies to the industry through the development and delivery of corresponding measurement solutions based on the needs of the industry.
- Raising measurement capabilities of industry by providing consultancies and trainings in mass and force measurements.
- Supervision of students and trainees under attachment programmes.
- Ensuring lab operation meets NMC's requirement in Health Safety and Environment.
Requirements
- Science or engineering with strong track record in Kibble Balance research and development
- Min. Years of Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in Kibble Balance research and development is required.
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation and statistical analysis.
- Capability to work autonomously yet collaboratively with teams.
- A proactive team contributor who is self-driven, eager to learn, and adopts a positive approach to challenges.
- Automation and digitalisation skills, including hardware and software integration.
- Experience in technology translation for industry adoption will be an advantage.
