Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full suite of pre-award and post-award grants (A*STAR, NRF, NMRC, etc.) from the Grantee perspective.
- Liaise with funders and collaborating institutions regarding grant-related matters.
- Announce new Grant calls, detail grantor requirements, and establish internal submission timelines for the institute.
- Support Principal Investigators (PIs) with budgeting and cashflow projections to ensure timely grant application submissions.
- Oversee grant administration, reporting, and compliance with all funder terms and conditions.
- Monitor project progress and fund utilization, including supporting variations like budget virement or scope changes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact within the institute for all grant-related inquiries.
- Assist in preparing internal control measures, including required audits and management reports/presentations.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for managing different types of grants from initial call to post-call.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in grants management.
- Proven ability to work with both Grantee and Grantor administration roles is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in documentation and administration.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information to all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and thrive under pressure in a dynamic research environment.
