Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for foundry supplier’s quality performance to ensure meeting Skyworks Quality requirements and standards, protect Skyworks customer and revenue from Quality risk
- Ensure best in class quality performance from key major foundry and drive continuous improvement aligned with corporate and quality objectives
- Initiate SCAPA/8D problem-solving and corrective actions for foundry-related issues; lead cross-functional teams to deliver timely root cause analysis and effective solutions
- Monitor process capability (Cpk) and process defect performance from foundry suppliers. Drive for improvement to meet or exceed targets
- Collaborate with the foundry suppliers and SWKS foundry engineering group on yield improvement, process stability improvement, process and PCM capability (Cpk) improvement, defect reduction, outlier detection, process change, and test coverage optimization
- Actively manage Process Change Notice (PCN) from suppliers with the engineering and sourcing teams, follow through the TRB and CCB approval process, and ensure implementation for record closure
- Lead regular audits of supplier foundries’ processes, products, and systems
- Support and actively participate in Skyworks’ internal and external party audit program as foundry supplier quality representative
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date internal quality system records and KPI reports, including SCAPA/8D, change orders, supplier accounts, audits, PCNs, alerts, waivers, and NCMR notifications
- Develop and track Foundry Quality scorecard during Supplier Development Reviews. Monitor and update the Foundry Quality Dashboard regularly
- Involved in New technology and New product introduction at foundry and support clean launch data collection
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Chemical, or Material Science)
- At least 10-15 years of experience in the semiconductor wafer manufacturing industry
- Past experience work in a semiconductor wafer fab/foundry is strongly preferred
- Proficient in 8D processes and use of structured problem-solving techniques and 3x5 WHYs
- Fundamental understanding of wafer fabrication processes (e.g., etching, deposition, photolithography) with a strong willingness to develop deeper expertise
- The desire/capability to gain more in-depth knowledge in a wide range of topics within semiconductors devices, process, product yield and quality will be necessary for future success in this role
- Experience as a Supplier, Manufacturing Quality or Customer Quality Engineer in semiconductor manufacturing environment is a plus
- Ability to work independently with strong problem solving and leadership skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, coupled with strong interpersonal communication for internal and external collaboration
- Understanding of DMAIC methodology, green belt or black belt certification a plus
- Fluency in English is required
- Ability to travel predominantly within Asia
